Biography

Relaxed Muscle, a British electro duo, was formed in 2002 by Jarvis Cocker of Pulp and Jason Buckle of All Seeing I. The duo performed under alter-egos Darren Spooner and Wayne Marsden, respectively. They began playing gigs in early 2003, billing themselves as "the sound of young Doncaster." Their debut album, A Heavy Nite With…, was released in 2003, reaching number 13 on the UK Indie Albums Chart. Notable songs from the album include "The Heavy" and "Rod of Iron". Despite their identities being revealed during a gig in London, Relaxed Muscle continued to perform. After their album release, the duo seemed to fade away, though Cocker and Buckle collaborated on the soundtrack for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) and worked together on Cocker's solo album Jarvis (2006).
