Cachorro Grande, a Brazilian rock band from Porto Alegre, was formed in 1999. The band's name, suggested by Beto Bruno, translates to "big dog" and reflects the group's early struggles over song selection. Cachorro Grande began their career performing covers of bands like The Rolling Stones and The Beatles before releasing their self-titled debut album in 2001. Their subsequent albums include As Próximas Horas Serão Muito Boas (2004), Pista Livre (2005), and Cinema (2009). In 2016, they opened for The Rolling Stones during the Latin America Olé Tour. Notable songs include "Como Era Bom" from the album Costa do Marfim, which was featured on the soundtrack of Rede Globo's Malhação. The group announced a hiatus in November 2018 following internal disputes and released their live album, Clássicos.
