Stony Skunk, a South Korean reggae duo comprising members Skull (ì¡°ì±ì§) and Kush (ê¹ë³í), emerged from Seoulâs underground scene in the early 2000s. The pair first gained attention with their selfâtitled debut album Stony Skunk in 2003, which blended reggae rhythms with hipâhop lyricism and established their niche within the Korean music market. In 2005 they released Ragga Muffin, followed by Skunk Riddim in 2006, both of which expanded their audience and led to collaborations with prominent artists under YG Entertainment. Their work contributed to the rising popularity of reggaeâinfluenced tracks in South Korea, and Kush later transitioned to a production role, earning credits on major releases for acts such as Big Bang and 2NE1. The duo disbanded in 2008 after Skull enlisted for military service; subsequent to the split, Skull founded the company âLionâ and joined Brand New Music, while Kush continued as a producer and songwriter.
