Biography

Steve Ouimette, born June 18, 1968, is an American rock guitarist. He was associated with the 1980s rock group Snaketrain and played guitar as session member of the San Francisco-based hard rock band T-Ride alongside Geoff Tyson in the early 1990s. Ouimette gained significant recognition for performing a cover version of "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by The Charlie Daniels Band, originally played on fiddle but adapted for electric guitar in the video game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. He recorded seven other songs for this game and released a version of "We Three Kings" as downloadable content. In October 2010, Ouimette released his solo debut album Epic, which included a bonus DVD with the physical version. His contributions to video games continued with tracks in The Crew 2 (2018) and Just Dance 2024 Edition (2023).
