Xtreme, a bachata musical group from the United States of America, was formed in 2003 by Danny Alfredo MejÃa (Danny D) and Steven Tejada (Steve Styles), both of Dominican descent. They were discovered by Andre "Dre" Hidalgo, who founded the independent record label 2 Strong Music. Their initial album We Got Next was released in 2003 but did not gain significant recognition. In 2005, they signed with Sergio George's SGZ Entertainment and released their debut album Xtreme, which peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Tropical Albums chart. Their second album, Haciendo Historia (2006), achieved notable success, peaking at number 2 on the Tropical Albums chart and being certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. The lead single "Shorty, Shorty" from this album reached Number 1 on the Tropical Airplay chart. Xtreme went on hiatus in 2011 to pursue solo careers, reuniting in 2019 for a reunion tour.
