Station 17 is an experimental rock group from Hamburg, Germany, formed in 1989 by musician Kai Boysen. They released their debut album Station 17 in 1990 through Mercury/Phonogram, featuring collaborations with Michael Rother, Holger Czukay, and F.M. Einheit. They signed with Whatâs So Funny About for their second album Genau So, released in 1993. They gained significant media attention from major German publications including Die Zeit and Der Spiegel. In 1997, they released the album Scheibe, marking a shift towards electronic music. After several lineup changes, they founded their own label 17rec. and released the album Mikroprofessor in 2006. Their album Goldstein Variationen in 2008 featured collaborations with artists like Fettes Brot and Stereo Total. In 2014, they released Alles für Alle, a pop album with political themes. They released the albums Blick in 2018 and Ausblick in 2019 under Bureau B. Their first live album Live at Uebel & Gefährlich was released in 2021.
