Biography

Also known as both "Shit Kingz" and "ST Kingz," s**t kingz is a Japanese dance troupe, pop band, and choreography company. The project was formed in October 2007 in Tokyo, Japan, where s**t kingz's four members — Shoji, Kazuki, Noppo, and Oguri — first collaborated as backup dancers for pop star Daichi Miura. During the 2010s, s**t kingz appeared on TV shows like Dance@TV and Mecha-Mecha Iketeru! while also choreographing dance routines for a wide range of musicians, including Da-ice's "Stand" (2012), Hey! Say! JUMP's "Ride With Me" (2013), Super Junior-D&E's "Skeleton" (2014), and Exo's "Love Me Right" (2015). The group also designed theater productions like the self-produced stage play Wonderful Clunker, which briefly ran in 2016 and featured a popular soundtrack whose artists included Daichi Miura. Two years later, s**t kingz began performing another stage play, The Library, in multiple locations across Japan. The Library's soundtrack featured music produced by s**t kingz, effectively serving as the group's debut album. After spending more than a decade as backup dancers and choreographers for other musicians, s**t kingz had officially launched their own music career, which continued with an EP in 2020 and another full-length album, Flying First Penguin, in 2021.
