Squangey Bobbins are a British rock band from Margate, Kent, formed in the mid-2010s. The quartet, who claim a strong attachment to their region and artistic independence, is made up of Lewis Colley (vocals, guitar, songwriting), Chris Bourne (guitar), Jack Elliot (bass) and Tommy Pearce (drums). The band forged a reputation on stage before approaching studio work with the same energy, deployed in the self-produced debut album Electric Vinyl, released in 2017. Several singles followed over the next few years, including "Scared About Getting Laid" in 2024 and "Fake I.D.", featuring Billy Lunn from The Subways, the first single from the Margate Cows album, released in January 2026, which also featured "Get Out", a hit on music platforms. On its release, the band campaigned on social networks for Margate Cows to be the first album from the city to enter the album charts. It eventually reached no. 16 in overall sales and no. 15 in physical sales, no. 9 in independent albums and no. 18 in Scotland.
