Known by the name of the title character she plays in the Disney Channel Latin America television series 'Soy Luna', Karol Itzitery Piña Cisneros, who also goes by the name Karol Sevilla, is a Mexican singer-songwriter and actress who has performed on television since she was a child. She appeared in the Mexican anthology series 'La Rosa de Guadalope' from 2008 to 2016, in the thriller 'Mujeres Asesinas' (2009), telenovelas 'Para Volver a Amar' (2010) and 'Amorcito Corazón' (2011) and drama series 'Como Dice el Dicho' (2012-2014).
In 2016 she landed the lead in 'Soy Luna' which follows the antics of a teenager who moves with her family to Buenos Aires and gets involved with the local roller-skating rink. A pop soundtrack album titled 'Soy Luna' featuring Cisneros and Miami-based duo Atellagali was a major hit in Latin America and topped the Spanish Albums Chart in 2016 and in 2017 she released her version of 'La Bikina', a song from the hit animated film 'Coco'. As Soy Luna, her 2018 schedule included appearances at venues in Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Bogota, Brazil and across Mexico.
