Son de RÃos is a Peruvian cumbia band formed in Piura in 2015 and built around a large family front line: vocalists Beto RÃos, Miller RÃos, Waldir RÃos, Daniel RÃos, Milagros RÃos and Rafael Calle, with Marvin RÃos serving as musical director and producer. They released their debut album Todo Empezo on 27 September 2016, a 12-track set that introduced their northern sanjuanera sound through songs such as âPal Carajo el Amor,â âNada de Ti,â âCómo Te Olvidoâ and âLlévate Todo.â In 2017, they followed with Duele Amarte, which featured âMi Dulce Bombom,â âTe Olvidare,â âHondo Dolorâ and âLa Pagarás,â the latter later reissued in 2019 as the single âLa Pagarásâ featuring Tommy Portugal. Their third studio album Imposible Olvidarte arrived on 27 September 2019 with 12 tracks including âPor Siempre Mi Angel,â âBaila Mi Sanjuanitoâ and, above all, âNo Me Vuelvo a Enamorar,â which became their best-known song through radio play and video platforms; that period also brought the live EP Domingos de Fiesta (En Vivo) and the 2020 collaboration single âFalsas Promesasâ with Sonido 2000. In the early 2020s, they added singles such as âLa Carta,â âCantinero,â âNada de Tiâ and âNunca Podrán,â reinforcing their presence on streaming services and TV programs dedicated to cumbia. In 2025, Son de RÃos released the six-track album Entre Lágrimas y Recuerdos on 27 June, collecting âCómo Te Olvido,â âPiel de Ãngel,â âTe Olvidare,â âUna Copa Más,â âMix Recuerdosâ and âMis Lágrimas en el Licor,â alongside the single âVuelve Palomitaâ and the live project Recuerdos del Alma (En Vivo), and remained active as a representative of a new generation of Piura sanjuanera.
