Sogenanntes Linksradikales Blasorchester was a German wind band from Frankfurt, Hesse. Founded in 1976, the group combined music with political activism. Core members included Heiner Goebbels and Alfred Harth, along with professionals such as Rolf Riehm and Thomas Jahn. The ensemble performed at protest demonstrations, the Russell Tribunal, and the 1980 JazzFest Berlin. Their repertoire included compositions by Goebbels, Harth, and Riehm, as well as arrangements of work by Hanns Eisler, Frank Zappa, and Nino Rota. They released the albums Hört, Hört (1977) and Mit gelben Birnen (1980). Sogenanntes Linksradikales Blasorchester disbanded in 1981. Their recordings were re-released in 1999 as the compilation 1976â1981 (1999).
