SNJ, an acronym for Somos Nós a Justiça, was a Brazilian hip-hop group formed in 1996 in Guarulhos, São Paulo. The group underwent several lineup changes before achieving national success with the release of their album Somos Nós in 2000. This album featured their breakthrough hit "Se tu Lutas, tu Conquistas" and the song "Viajando na Balada", which earned them a nomination for Best Rap Video at the MTV Video Music Brasil (VMB) awards in 2001. Their subsequent major release was O Show Deve Continuar in 2003. Following the release of a live DVD in 2005 and another studio album, A Esperança é o Alimento da Alma, in 2007, SNJ's activity began to decline. Their final release was a limited edition EP titled Origens in 2012. Since then, SNJ has been on indefinite hiatus, with members pursuing solo careers or facing personal challenges.
