Biography

Snapcase was an American hardcore punk band from Buffalo, New York, originally formed as Solid State in 1989. The group underwent several lineup changes before settling on the name Snapcase in 1991. They signed with Victory Records and recorded their first single, "Comatose" (1992). Their debut full-length album, Lookinglasself, was released in 1993. Snapcase continued to release albums including Progression Through Unlearning (1997), which featured the track "Breaking and Reaching" used by Cartoon Network’s Toonami for promos of Mobile Fighter G Gundam. Their final albums were End Transmission (2002) and Bright Flashes (2003). Snapcase announced their disbandment in 2004 and played a final concert in Buffalo, New York in 2005.
