Biography

Sloche was a Quebec progressive rock band formed in 1971. The band's name is derived from the Quebecois term for slushy snow, itself taken from the English word "slush." Sloche released their debut album, J’un œil, in 1975, featuring Réjean Yacola on keyboards and vocals, Martin Murray on organ and saxophone, Carol Berard on guitars, Pierre Hébert on bass, and Gilles Chiasson on drums. The album's songs were aired on radio stations across Quebec. In 1976, Sloche released their second and final album, Stadaconé, which blended rock with funk elements. Both albums were remastered and reissued on CD in 2009.
