Biography

Sleepy Township was an Australian indie pop band formed in Perth, Western Australia, in 1994 as a side project by Guy Blackman, Mia Schoen, and Paul Williams. The group relocated to Melbourne the following year with Chris Gorman replacing Williams on drums. Alison Bolger joined on bass in 1998. Sleepy Township released their debut EP Sleepy Township/The Cannanes split single in October 1996, followed by their first full-length album, Set Sail, in December 1998. Their second album, Deep Water, was released in July 2001. The band disbanded in March 2002 but reunited six months later for a single performance to release All These Records. They briefly reformed again in 2009 for two shows. Notable releases include "Online" (1997) and "Morning" (2000).
