Biography

Skybombers is a rock band from Melbourne, Australia formed by Scotch College students Hugh Gurney, Ravi Sharma, Scott McMurtrie and Sam Bethune. Initially known as Collusion, they changed their name to Skybombers after an icy-pole. Their breakthrough came with the release of the demo song "It Goes Off" on MySpace, which secured them early TV appearances and international attention when it made the most-played list on L.A.'s Indie 103.1. The band's debut EP Sirens was released in 2007, followed by their first album Take Me to Town in June 2008. Skybombers toured extensively across Australia, Japan, and the USA. Their song "It Goes Off" was featured on the soundtracks for video games Burnout Dominator (2007) and Burnout Paradise (early 2008). The band's second album, Black Carousel, was released in 2012.
