Biography
A brassy, festive ska-rock outfit, Skarbone 14 was formed in Tournai in 2001. The band, made up of Sim, Jonbeat, Jef, Greg, Manu, Le Baron and Max, quickly made a name for themselves with their explosive live performances, in a line-up perfect for festival stages. Their first 6-track album, Jamais Sans Mon Slip, came out in 2003, before the release of their first full-length album, Trèves de Plaisanteries , in 2005. The group's lyrics are committed to social injustice, politics and ecology, and they have also chosen to be entirely self-produced. By word of mouth, the band's touring schedule soon expanded to include France, Germany, the Czech Republic and Canada. On their third album, Sattelite, released in 2009, the seven musicians invited Les 100 Grammes de tête and Baba Sissoko to join them. The group draws increasingly on African music to enrich their repertoire. In 2021, "Des Souvenirs à la pelle ", is a pretext single for the group's 20th anniversary tour.
