Formed in September 2010 in Brooklyn on the initiative of Samantha Urbani (vocals) and Lesley Hann (bass, percussion, backing vocals), Friends is a vintage indie pop band completed by Nikki Shapiro (guitar, keyboards, percussion), Matthew Molnar (keyboard, bass, percussion), and Oliver Duncan (drums). After an honorary single (" I'm His Girl") featuring the typical codes of the late 1980s - stylistically and musically - the band released their first allbum in June 2012, Manifest!
