Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu, known professionally as Sinach, was born on March 30, 1972, in Ebonyi State, Eastern Nigeria. She began her musical journey in 1989 while working at Christ Embassy Church and released her first album, Chapter One, in 2007. Sinach's breakthrough came with "Way Maker" (2015), which won Song of the Year at the 51st GMA Dove Awards and topped the Billboard Christian Songwriter chart for Number 1 position for 12 weeks. The song became a global phenomenon during the COVID-19 pandemic, covered by over 60 artists. Sinach has released nine studio albums, including I'm Blessed (2010) and From Glory to Glory (201), and performed in over 50 countries. She received numerous awards, including the BMI Song of the Year and recognition from the US Congress. In 2023, she was awarded as a global ambassador by the government of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
