Biography

Silvana Estrada, born April 15, 1997, in Coatepec, Veracruz, is a celebrated Mexican singer-songwriter known for her evocative voice and poetic lyrics that blend jazz, folk, and traditional Mexican influences. Raised in a musical household where her parents were laudería artisans, she developed a deep connection to music from an early age. After studying Jazz at the Universidad Veracruzana and performing in New York, where she collaborated with jazz guitarist Charlie Hunter, Silvana Estrada returned to Mexico to establish her career. Her debut album Lo Sagrado (2017, re-released in 2020) introduced her unique sound, while her 2022 album Marchita received critical acclaim for its introspective and melancholic themes. She has collaborated with prominent artists such as Natalia Lafourcade, Mon Laferte, and Guitarricadelafuente, and her Latin Grammy win for Best New Artist in 2022 marked a milestone in her career. She continued to gain international recognition with singles like "Milagro y Desastre," which earned a Grammy nomination in 2024, and unique projects like her Spanish rendition of AURORA's "Cure for Me." Preceded by singles like "Como un Pájaro" and "No Te Vayas Sin Saber," her second studio album Vendrán Suaves Lluvias arrived in 2025.
