Biography

Sidsel Storm, born on November 20, 1982, in Denmark, is a jazz singer and composer. She began her musical education at the Rhythmics College in 2002 and later studied vocal music at the preparatory music program in Copenhagen. Storm's early career included participation in the Brandberg Jazz Festival in 2003/2004 and work with the electropop band Next to Beluga, contributing to their album Out of Place. In 2008, she was awarded the prize for Young Jazz Composer of the Year by the DPA and released her self-titled debut album Sidsel Storm, which won the Danish Vocal Jazz Release of the Year at the Danish Music Awards in 2009. Storm continued to release albums including Swedish Lullaby (2010), Nothing in Between (2012), and Closer (2015). She gained international recognition performing with her quartet across Europe, North America, and Asia.
