Biography
With an oxymoronic moniker and a handful of productions, including the 2006 single "Ca m'aurait fait chier d'exploser ", Défonce Ton Ampli (a six-track EP in 2006) and Marre Marre Marre (an album released in 2008), Sexy Sushi is a band that doesn't take itself too seriously.
Mitch Silver and Rebeka Warrior make up this duo, who insist on keeping their true identity a mystery. They first appeared on the French electro scene in 2006 with a retro sound straight out of the 1980s, composed mainly of synthesizers and throbbing electronic beats, wrapped in a punk spirit.
Its singer, whose lascivious voice is a trashy humorist, mostly on THE often taboo subject, knows no bounds when it comes to the absurd and the attention-grabbing. Sexy Sushi stayed the course in 2009 with Tu l'As Bien Mérité, followed in 2010 by Cyril. The group's popularity continues to grow, culminating in 2013 with Vous n'Allez Pas Repartir les Mains Vides.
