Biography
Serious Black is an international power metal band founded in 2014. The band currently consists of Mario Lochert (bass), Dominik Sebastian (guitar), Ramy Ali (drums), Bob Katsionis (guitar) and Nikola MijiÄ (vocals). The members come from different countries and were previously active in other well-known metal bands such as Helloween, Masterplan and Eden's Curse. Serious Black is known for their melodic and powerful power metal sound combined with catchy melodies and epic arrangements. The debut album As Daylight Breaks was released in 2015 and reached number 61 in the German album charts. Their third album Magic (2017) reached number 46, while their latest work, Rise of Akhenaton (2024), reached number 49 in Germany and shows the band's further development with new musical influences. Serious Black regularly tours Europe and has shared the stage with big bands such as Sonata Arctica and Firewind.
