Biography

The formation of Civil War is the result of a 2012 split from the band Sabaton. Daniel Mullback (drums), Rikard SundÃ©n (guitar), Daniel Myhr (keyboard) and Oskar Montelius (guitar) left the Swedish power metal band after the Carolus Rex album to form their own entity. They retain Nils Patrik Johansson (Astral Doors, Lion's Share) as vocalist and sign a contract before even writing a song. The Killer Angels (2013) and Gods and Generals (2015) established Civil War as a formidable new specialist in warlike speed metal.
