Biography

Guy Serge Beynaud Gnolou, better known as Serge Beynaud, was born on September 19, 1987 in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. He developed a passion for music from an early age, composing songs as a child and eventually joining a studio as an arranger at the age of 19. This experience saw him collaborate with several renowned zouglou and coupé-décalé artists, including Douk Saga. In 2009, aged just 22, he scored his first hit with the track "Kouma lébé", which led to his signing to Obouo Music, the label run by David Monsoh, known for producing singers such as Fally Ipupa, Koffi Olomidé and Héritier Watanabe. A debut album, entitled Seul Dieu, was released in 2012, buoyed by the singles "Corrigé corrigé" and "Tchokora", and was quickly followed by a second project, Le Mannequin des Arrangeurs. They established him as one of the leading figures in coupé-décalé and Afropop. A second full-fledged album under the name Talehi was released in 2014, including the track "Côté sensible", featuring Colonel Reyel. He also produces tracks for many artists including DJ Arafat, Debordo Leekunfa, Bebi Philip, DJ Mix 1er, Molare. In 2017, he released the album Accelerate, while numerous singles, including "Cette année", "Prends ton temps" and "C'est dosé ", were released in the following years.
