Secrecy, a German progressive metal band from Bremen, was formed in 1986 by guitarist Manny Meccyca and drummer Alex "Trödel" Zasso. The initial lineup also included bassist Steve Kerby and singer Peter Dartin. Secrecy released their first demo, Like Burning Oneâs Boats, in 1988, securing a contract with Noise Records. Their debut album, Art in Motion, was recorded at Musiclab Berlin with producer Harris Johns and released in 1990. The band toured with Fates Warning and Sanctuary but faced organizational issues leading to their tour being cut short. Secrecy's second album, Raging Romance, produced by Ralf Krause, was released in 1991. Internal changes and label instability followed, resulting in the bandâs disbandment after a final performance on November 13, 1993. In 2007, they reunited, but announced in 2008 that they would no longer perform any further shows.
