Biography

Seam was an American indie rock band formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 1991, led by Sooyoung Park. The group initially included bassist Lexi Mitchell and drummer Mac McCaughan. Seam signed to Homestead Records and released their debut album Headsparks in 1992, marking their move to Chicago. In 1993, they switched to Touch and Go Records and released the single "Kernel" (1993). The band's lineup changed over the years, with notable albums including The Problem With Me (1993), Are You Driving Me Crazy? (1995), and their final album, The Pace is Glacial (1998). Seam's last tour was in Seoul, South Korea, in 2000. The band disbanded that same year.
