Scardust, a progressive metal band from Israel, was founded in 2013 as Somnia by singer Noa Gruman and songwriter Orr Didi. The initial project aimed to create a rock opera titled Gates of Dawn, which led to the release of their first EP, Shadow, in 2015 under the name Somnia. Following legal issues, the band changed its name to Scardust. Their debut album, Sands of Time, was released in 2017 and received positive reviews. In 2018, Scardust began performing internationally, starting with a concert in Berlin titled Sandstorm over Berlin. The band's second album, Strangers, followed in 2020. In 2023, Scardust signed with Frontiers Music and released the single "Game of Now", followed by their third album Souls in 2025.
