Saviour Machine was an American Christian metal band formed in 1989 by brothers Jeff and Eric Clayton. The band released their first demos in 1990 and gained attention with a theatrical stage show featuring pyrotechnics. In 1993, they signed with Intense Records and released their debut album Saviour Machine I, which received critical acclaim despite controversy over their lyrical direction and stage presentation. Their subsequent albums included Saviour Machine II in 1994 and Live in Deutschland (1995). in 2001. The band's work culminated with the Legend trilogy, which delved into Biblical prophecy and was released between 1997 and 2001.
