Like many up-and-coming millennial artists, American singer-songwriter Savannah Outen (October 14, 1992) slowly but steadily built an online fan base through a series of cover songs on her video streaming channel. Hailing from Hillsboro, Oregon, Outen discovered her passion for music very early on in life. By the age of 12, she had already made it to the finals of Americaâs Best New Talent. In 2007, Outen gained Internet notoriety after posting some videos of herself singing covers on her video streaming channel and made her official debut with the self-penned 2008 single âGoodbyes,â which peaked at Number 5 on Radio Disney Countdown and spawned an accompanying video directed by Mason Dixon. She followed up with âIf You Only Knewâ (2009), âBe Originalâ (2010), and âTonight With Youâ (2011). Between 2012 and 2014, Outen released a series of cover EPs with some of her favorite songs, including Taylor Swiftâs âSafe and Sound,â Labrinthâs âBeneath Your Beautiful,â and an acoustic rendition of Siaâs âChandelier.â In the following years, the singer continued to cover the biggest hits in pop music, reimagining The Weekndâs âCan't Feel My Faceâ (2015), Zaynâs âPillowtalk,â Drakeâs âFake Loveâ (2017), and Shawn Mendesâ âIn My Bloodâ (2018).
