Savage Steel was a Canadian metal band from Mississauga, formed in 1981. The group consisted of Paul Gleneicki on vocals, Marshall Birch on guitar, Mark Talvitie on bass, and Brian Vella on drums. Their early releases included the demos Assault Attack Tour (1984) and Scepters of Deceit (1985). In 1987, Savage Steel signed with New Renaissance Records and released their debut album, Begins With a Nightmare, which was distributed in Europe by U.S. Metal Records and featured songs like "Streets of Indecision" and "Night Prowler". The following year, they released the album Do or Die (1988) under Maze Music, produced by Steve Negus. This album featured Stephen Turrer on bass after Mark Talvitie's departure. Savage Steel disbanded shortly thereafter in 1988.
