Biography

Sandra L. Hall, born September 5, 1951 in Oakland City, Atlanta, Georgia, is an American soul blues singer and songwriter. She began singing at age four and formed a duo with her sister Barbara called the Soul Sisters. In the late 1960s, she performed as part of the Exotics. Hall's debut solo album Showin' Off was released in 1995 by Ichiban Records, followed by One Drop Will Do You in 1997. Notable songs include "Big Long Slidin' Thing" and "Pump up Your Love." She performed at the Sarasota Blues Fest in 1995 and Montreux Jazz Festival during her European tours. Hall has continued to perform, notably appearing at the W.C. Handy Blues and Barbecue Festival in 2005.
