Kelley Wade, known professionally as Kelley Hunt, was born in Kansas City, Missouri, United States. She is an American blues pianist, singer, and songwriter. Hunt's early musical inspiration came from her mother's jazz and blues singing. Her self-titled debut album Kelley Hunt was released in 1995, featuring bassist Reggie McBride and saxophonist Wilton Felder. In 1998, her song "If I Don't Dance" from the debut album was featured in the film Dance with Me. Hunt's subsequent albums include Inspiration (2000), New Shade of Blue (2004), which peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Top Blues Albums chart, and Mercy (2009). Her sixth album, The Beautiful Bones, was released in 2014. Hunt has performed at various festivals, including the Omaha Blues, Jazz, & Gospel Festival and Memphis in May, and appeared six times on A Prairie Home Companion.
