Samsons (stylised SamSonS), an Indonesian popârock group formed in Jakarta in 2003, began with vocalist Adrian Martadinata and guitarists Irfan Aulia and Erik Partogi Siagian, with bassist Aldri Dataviadi. Their breakthrough came with the 2005 album Naluri Lelaki, which sold over 1.1â¯million copies and earned multiâplatinum status and several Anugerah Musik Indonesia awards in 2006, including Best Newcomer and Best Album. The band followed with the 2007 album Penantian Hidup and the selfâtitled 2009 album Samsons, the latter reaching multiâplatinum with the single "Tak Ada Tempat Seperti Surga". In 2013, Aria Dinata joined as vocalist for the 2013 album Perihal Besar, releasing the hit "Di Ujung Jalan". Subsequent singles "I Love You" (2016) and "Cinta Mati" (2017) maintained chart presence. The 2020 album V featured these singles and marked the end of Aria Dinataâs tenure; Adrian Martadinata returned as vocalist in 2022, leading to the singles "Rayu" and "Rasa yang Salah".
