Biography
Peterpan, an Indonesian rock band, was formed in Bandung, West Java, in 2000. The group initially consisted of Andika Naliputra as keyboardist and leader, Nazril Irham as lead vocalist, Hendra Suhendra as bassist, Ilsyah Ryan Reza as drummer, and guitarists Lukman Hakim and Mohammad Kautsar Hikmat. Peterpan gained initial traction in 2002 with the release of "Mimpi yang Sempurna" on the compilation album Kisah 2002 Malam. Their debut album, Taman Langit, released in 2003, marked a significant breakthrough and was followed by Bintang di Surga in 2004. The latter sold over three million copies and won Best of the Best Album at the Indonesian Music Awards. Peterpan's success continued with their third studio album, Hari yang Cerah, in 2007. The band announced that it had changed its name to NOAH in 2012.
