Born in Saint-Martin-Boulogne, Pas-de-Calais, on April 25, 2000, Hugo Brebion, aka Sam Sauvage, grew up in Boulogne-sur-Mer. He was a member of the group Photomaton before going solo with the EP Prémices (2023). A self-taught guitarist, he nonetheless adopts a synthpop style straight out of the 1980s, with his own incisive pen and a somewhat disillusioned attitude. Singles followed, "Dans la bathroom" in 2023, then "La Fin du monde" in 2024 and "Les Gens qui dansent (J'adore)" in 2025, which inaugurated the series leading to Sam Sauvage's second EP, ranked No. 78 in the SNEP chart. After other pop/rock singles such as "Ne t'en fais pas pour elle", "Je ne t'aime plus" and "Un cri dans le métro", Sam Sauvage released his debut album, Mesdames, Messieurs! in January 2026, which reached No. 11 in France. The following month, he was honored by the Victoires de la Musique with the trophy for male revelation.
