Nino Louis Rodolphe Vella, known as Nino Vella, was born on November 18, 1992, in Cholet, Maine-et-Loire, France. He began studying piano at a young age and started forming bands at 14. Vella's breakthrough came after high school when he composed music for theater productions. In 2010, he founded the group Babel, performing internationally. He gained recognition in 2016 with his production work on Boosteeâs EP Pop Corn, which was certified platinum single. Vella collaborated extensively with notable artists such as Maes and Yseult. In 2020, he composed the soundtrack for the Netflix film Comment Je Suis Devenu Super-Héros. The following year, he co-founded Rouquine with Sébastien Rousselet, winning the TV show The Artist in 2021. Their debut album, Masculine, was released in 2022. Vella passed away on July 1, 2024, in Paris. In September 2025 was released his posthumous solo album Plage des Bigorneaux.
