Biography

Sam Cardon is an American composer known for his work in film music. His first album, Impulse, was released in 1989 and reached number 2 on the national airplay chart in Radio & Records Magazine, followed by Serious Leisure (1991), which peaked at number 17 on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz Chart. He received a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in 1993 and began composing music for various media projects, including Titans of the Ice Age, Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs, and Shackleton’s Antarctic Adventure. He also contributed to video game soundtracks such as World of Warcraft and Overwatch. Cardon received several awards, including the Governor's Mansion Artist Award in 2003 and the Distinguished Honored Alumnus award from Brigham Young University in 2006.
