Sady Courville, born on November 15, 1905, in Chataignier, Louisiana, was an American Cajun fiddler and singer. He began his musical journey in his early teens, learning to play the fiddle from his father, Eraste Courville, and Dennis McGee. By age 16, he was performing at dances with Amédé Ardoin. In 1929, Courville and McGee recorded in New Orleans, with Courville credited as "second fiddle." These recordings set a standard for Cajun duet fiddling. Around this time, he also collaborated with Ernest Fruge. After a hiatus due to personal reasons, Courville resumed his recording career in 1972 with McGee on the Morning Star label. His notable album releases include La Vieille Musique Acadienne (1977). Courville passed away on January 3, 1988, in Eunice, Louisiana.
