Biography

Sława Przybylska, born November 2, 1931, in Międzyrzec Podlaski, is a Polish singer. She began her career in the late 1950s, performing at the Student Satirical Threatre and the Stodoła Club. Her breakthrough came in 1958 with "Wspomnij mnie", which gained significant popularity. This year also saw her featured in Wojciech Has's film Pożegnania, where she performed one of her songs. Przybylska released numerous albums, including Stare A Niezapomniane Piosenki (1958), Melodie O Zmroku (1959), and Tylko Dla Zakochanych (1960). She also recorded songs in Yiddish. Notable collaborations include performances with Abraham Samuel Rettig and Ino Toper in the early 1960s, and with klezmer musician Leopold Kozlowski in 1989.
