Biography

Delonte Drumgold, born on April 12, 1994, in Washington, D.C., is an American R&B singer and songwriter known professionally as rum.gold. Growing up in the DMV area, he began singing in church choirs and later played trumpet in highâschool jazz ensembles before studying music business at Berklee College of Music. After moving to Brooklyn in 2016, he released his debut EP yaRn in 2019, followed by aiMless in 2020, which featured the collaboration "Waiting For" with Jamila Woods. His first fullâlength album, Thicker Than Water, arrived in 2021, exploring family themes, while U Street Anthology was issued in 2023, paying tribute to his hometown and its Black history. In 2025 he released Is There Anybody Home? (Partâ¯2), and the full album Is There Anybody Home? followed in 2026, solidifying his presence in contemporary soul and R&B.
