Brandon Roy Wronski (May 22, 1988) is an American singer-songwriter who performs under the names Roy English and Jagwar Twin. Born in Los Angeles, California, he founded the indie-rock bands Dead Letter Diaries and Eye Alaska before embarking on a solo career in the early 2010s. Mentored by musician Jeff Bhasker, Roy English honed in on his production and songwriting skills, landing credits on Lana del Reyâs 2014 single âI Can Flyâ and Alessoâs UK Top 5 single âCoolâ in 2015. That year, he also made his recording debut with the single âJulianne.â I'm Not Here Pt. 1, his first extended-play, came out in 2016 and was followed by the 2017 singles âHotel Pools 01101001â and âOuta My Head 01101110â in collaboration with DJ and producer Badhabit. In the subsequent years, Roy English continued to work as a producer alongside S1, Linus, and Blink-182âs Travis Barker, and began releasing music under the moniker Jagwar Twin, starting with the 2018 single âLoser.â Premiered on Zane Loweâs Beats 1 show, âLoserâ notched up over 100,000 streams in its first day and was included in Jagwar Twinâs studio debut, Subject to Flooding. After a short tour throughout the US titled Live in Close Proximity during 2019, he returned with the single âHappy Faceâ in 2020.
