Biography
Born Kang Juhee in South Korea on May 6, 1999, the K-pop singer is best-known by her stage name Rothy. After three years of training and grooming, she made her debut for the Dorothy Company, a label started by singer/songwriter Shin Seung-Hun. Rothyâs first release was the digital single âStarsâ in November 2017. Her next single, âBaby Babyâ, a collaboration with U-Kwon (Block B), was recorded for the soundtrack Jugglers. She followed that up with a second solo single, âSullaeâ, in June 2018. Her debut mini album, Shape of Rothy, was released in August and contained her previous singles âStarsâ and âSullaeâ as well as vocal and instrumental versions of âLost Timeâ and âBurningâ. Rothy released her second mini album, Color of Rothy, in May 2019. The mini album featured the singles âBlossom Flowerâ and âBeeâ. Rothy also contributed tracks to the soundtracks to Romance Is A Bonus Book Part 2 (2019) and Backstreet Rookie Part 4 (2020).
