Kang Ji-young, aka JY, is a K-pop singer from South Korea who first gained fame as a member of the group Kara, which she left in 2014. She spent time as an actress and in 2015 released her first solo single 'Saigo No Sayonara' which went to number seven on Japan's Oricon Singles Chart. 'Suki Na Hito Ga Iru Koto' (2016) reached number six. Her album 'Many Faces' went to number 12 on Japan's Oricon Albums Chart in 2017 and she released EP 'Hosha Ga Guru Mae Ni' in 2018. Other singles include 'My Secret Crush' (2017) and 'Namida No Riyuu' (2018).
