Rosario Bléfari (December 24, 1965 â July 6, 2020) was an Argentine indie rock and alternative rock singer-songwriter, actress, and writer from Mar del Plata. Bléfari is considered an emblematic figure of Argentine independent music. In 1989, Bléfari formed the lo-fi group Suárez, which debuted at the bar Bolivia in San Telmo. Suárez released four studio albums: Hora de no ver (1994), Horrible (1995), Galope (1996), and Excursiones (1999). Following the dissolution of the band in 2001, Bléfari released seven solo studio albums, including Cara (2002), Estaciones (2004), Misterio relámpago (2006), and Sector apagado (2019). In the 2010s, Bléfari formed the band Sue Mon Mont and the duo Los Mundos Posibles. As an actress, Bléfari performed in films including Rapado (1992) and Silvia Prieto (1999). Bléfari authored several literary works, including the stories Mis ejemplos (2016). Bléfari died in Santa Rosa on July 6, 2020.
