Biography

Ronald Montague Moss is an American musician and actor born on March 4, 1952, in Los Angeles. He began playing the drums, guitar, and electric bass at age 11. In 1976, Moss formed the band Player with Peter Beckett, J.C. Crowley, and John Friesen. They signed with RSO Records and released the single “Baby Come Back” (1977), which reached Number 1 on the national pop charts in 1978. Their follow-up single “This Time I'm in It for Love” (1978) peaked at number 10. Player's discography includes the studio albums Player (1977), Danger Zone (1978), and Room with a View (1980). Moss also portrayed the character Ridge Forrester on the television series The Bold and the Beautiful (1987) between 1987 and 2012. His solo career includes the studio albums I'm Your Man (2000) and Uncovered (2005). He also served as a producer for the digital series The Bay (2010), sharing in multiple Daytime Emmy awards for the production.
