Biography
Ronan Browne, born in Dublin, Ireland, is a composer and musician known for playing the uilleann pipes. He is the grandson of Delia Murphy. Browne's early involvement in music included collaborations on albums such as Dysart Tola (1982) and Round the House et Mind the Dresser (1987). His breakthrough came with the album The South West Wind: Traditional music from County Clare, released in 1988, which he recorded with Peter O'Loughlin. Throughout his career, Browne has contributed to numerous notable projects, including the soundtracks for films like Circle of Friends (1995) and Gangs of New York (2002), as well as television series such as Bringing It All Back Home. He was also a key member of Riverdance and Afro Celt Sound System.
