Biography

Robin Black is a Canadian singer and combat analyst born on August 10, 1969, in Pinawa. He began his musical career in Winnipeg with the ensemble Ballroom Zombies before relocating to Toronto in 1998 to establish Robin Black and the Intergalactic Rock Stars. The group released the single “Time Travel Tonight” / “More Effeminate Than You” in 2000. Its debut studio recording, Planet: Fame, appeared in 2002 and included the track “So Sick of You”. Under the shortened name Robin Black, the ensemble released the album Instant Classic in 2005. Following a seizure in 2006, Black ceased his music career and served as a judge on the program VJ Search. He subsequently transitioned to mixed martial arts, competing professionally between 2008 and 2012. He established a career as a sports commentator and analyst for organizations including Bellator MMA, ONE Championship, and Karate Combat.
