Roberta Donnay, born on August 10, 1966, in Washington D.C., is an American jazz singer. Influenced by Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday, she began singing professionally at 16, traveling through Europe. Her first album, Catch the Wave, was released in 1989.
Donnay collaborated with artists like Booker T. Jones and Dr. John, and toured with Dan Hicks & The Hot Licks. Her songs have been featured on TV shows such as The O.C. and Riverdale. In 2018, she released the album My Heart Belongs to Satchmo with Blujazz Records. Notably, "One World" was the theme for the United Nations 50th Anniversary and World AIDS Day in South Africa, earning her an ASCAP Composer Award.
