Biography
Robert Zero Karl Oskar Broberg, known professionally as Robert Broberg, was born on July 2, 1940, in Sweden. He was a singer, comedian, artist, composer, musician, and painter. He began his music career while studying at Konstfack in 1957, and he made up a story about having a skiffle group. In reality, he didn't have a band, but word spread, and he was offered to play with his group. Then he quickly collected musician friends, and they started rehearsing. His breakthrough came with the release of his singles, "Franska Naturen / Knäppen" (1963) and "Hej Där Lilla Rödluvan" (1966), followed by his album, 7 Bitar Robban + 7 Bitar Broberg, which includes the single, "Maria-Therese" in 1967. Throughout the late 1960s, Broberg released several albums, including Längta Efter Kärlek and Tjejjer, which featured notable songs like "Din Bild Gör Mej Vild" and "Om Du Blott Blir Min". In 1989, he received the "Karamelodiktstipendiet" award. Broberg continued to release albums throughout his career, including a compilation album, Text & Musik, in 2009. He passed away on July 21, 2015, at the age of 75 due to Parkinson's disease.
